The Latin American Lawyer November-December issue is now available for free download

In anticipation of one of the most important events of the year, our Spanish cover page looks ahead to the World Law Congress 2021. Scheduled for December in Baranquilla, we bring together exclusive statements, as well as a summary of the opening session and press conference, inviting all jurists and legal professionals to attend this highly anticipated event, which for the first time will be held in Colombia. We also feature an interview with the President of the World Jurist Association and the World Law Foundation, Javier Cremades.

The Brazilian cover is dedicated to Amir Achcar Bocayuva Cunha, managing partner of Barbosa, Müssnich & Aragão Advogados, who shared with us his new management model for the firm, which has led them to boost their professionalism and success in the current market.

We approached Manuel Telles, managing partner of Mayora & Mayora, to talk about the changes in the legal industry brought about by the adoption of cryptocurrency payments in El Salvador, being the first country to implement such measures.

Also, in the Portuguese version, we present an interview with Diego Ignacio Gómez M., senior corporate counsel at Fintech FIS for Mexico and LatAm, and statutory director of the Brazil-Chile Chamber of Commerce.
We travel to Panama with the World Compliance Association for a new lesson on compliance in this edition’s dossier. In addition, we learned about dispute resolution in collaboration with Alejandra Ramírez Cuenca from the Ibero-American Arbitration Centre.

On behalf of the group’s Iberian magazine, Iberian Lawyer, we recognise the ten best Business Law lawyers in the area.

We also highlight the importance of entrepreneurship in startups and betting on them, with an article containing a series of recommendations for lawyers who wish to deal with this new business model.

We celebrate the recovery of the Legal market with the most relevant transactions and signings of the last months in Latin America, while for the Spanish version we put special focus on transactions related to financing.

Finally, and for the Spanish version, from the Italian magazine of the group, MAG, and Iberian Lawyer, we present an opinion article on current affairs in the European Union, as well as an interview with Luca Radicati di Brozolo, founding partner of Arblit, about his new desk in Spanish.
