Cariola represents Transbank in $81m credit facility

Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has advised Transbank S.A. on a $65 billion Chilean peso senior credit facility

 Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has represented Transbank S.A., as borrower, in connection with a $65,000,000,000 Chilean peso (approx. $81 million US dollars) senior unsecured credit facility granted by Itaú Corpbanca as agent and lender, and Banco de Chile, Banco BTG Pactual Chile, Banco de Crédito e Inversiones (BCI) and Banco del Estado de Chile, as lenders, to finance the operations and development of the borrower’s corporate business.

This transaction, closed on 17 November, involved the participation of Claro & Cía. as legal advisors to the lenders, and Josefina Tocornal as in-house counsel to Transbank.

Transbank is a support company for the banking business and Chile’s leading credit and payment card operator.

Claro & Cía. team consisted of partner José Luis Ambrosy and associate Felipe Pérez.

Cariola’s team consisted of partner Rodrigo Sepúlveda (pictured left), together with associate María Jesús Kipreos (pictured right).
