PPU counsels Cemex on $28m gas supply
PPU Colombia has advised Cemex S.A. on a USD 28 million natural gas supply contract
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Colombia has counselled Cemex S.A. on a natural gas supply contract for a total amount of $28 million US dollars. This contract guarantees the natural required to operate the Caracolito cement plant located in Ibagué for a term of three years.
The transaction was closed on 1 November and was complex due to the location conditions of the Cement Plant, as it requires experience in the natural gas market.
Cemex is a Mexican multinational company dedicated to the construction industry, offering products and services to customers and communities in more than 50 countries around the world. It is the world’s leading ready-mix concrete producer, with a production capacity of approximately 92 million tonnes per year, serving markets in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
