Ilarraz merges with LMDias
Ilarraz Advogados has merged with LMDias Advocacia Empresarial, both based in Porto Alegre
Ilarraz Advogados, with 15 years of experience in advising corporate clients, has merged with the boutique firm specialized in business Law LMDias Advocacia Empresarial, both based in the city of Porto Alegre in Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). With the merger, the name of ILARRAZ Advogados remains.
Both firms have a general focus on Business Law, with specialization in practices related to Tax, Regulatory, Environmental, Administrative, Contracts, Compliance, Civil Litigation and Digital Law (ILARRAZ) and in Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions and Investment Structuring (LMDias).
The teams have long worked in collaboration, realizing that their portfolios and experience, once combined, would result in an even higher quality of legal services.
In the merger process, the partners identified similarities in their strategic visions, with shared purposes to efficiently advise clients with innovation, responsiveness, and excellence.
All partners have vast experience and are qualified to advise clients in domestic transactions and those doing business abroad, as well as foreign clients investing in Brazil.
Marcelo Ilarraz (pictured left), in addition to more than 20 years of legal practice, has a distinguished academic background as a professor of Tax Law many times throughout his career (undergraduate and graduate courses).
He has a PhD from the University of London, an LLM (Taxation) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and an LLM from PUCRS. During his research period in the UK he was involved in relevant debates on taxation and international investments, with a special focus on Brazil. He is the founding partner of Ilarraz Advogados.
Lucas Martins Dias (pictured right) began his career as a lawyer in 2005, in the areas of corporate and contract law. In the academic area, he teaches Corporate Law in several Brazilian universities. He joined large law firms in São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul before founding LMDias Advocacia Empresarial.
