PPU represents MercadoLibre Chile in Acquisition of Redelcom
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has assisted MercadoLibre Chile Limitada in the purchase of the payment network Redelcom S.A.
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has represented MercadoLibre Chile Limitada in the antitrust aspects of the acquisition of Redelcom S.A. This transaction was closed on 14 December.
MercadoLibre is an Argentinean e-commerce company in Latin America, with operations in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Users can sell and buy both new and used products at a fixed or variable price, and private services are offered.
Redelcom is a payment network company. Its POS accepts payments with all credit and debit cards, from any national and international bank. In addition, it has a system for issuing electronic receipts linked to the Internal Revenue Service and linked to the cash control system, which allows it to provide the merchant with a detailed statement of its financial flow.
