Cuatrecasas counsels Cleanairtech South America on $152m refinancing round
Cuatrecasas Chile has advised Cleanairtech Sudamérica S.A. on the closing of a US$152 million refinancing round
Cuatrecasas, through its office in Santiago de Chile, has counselled Cleanairtech Sudamérica S.A., a subsidiary of the Compañía Minera del Pacífico (CAP) group, on the refinancing with international entities of an existing loan and a new syndicated loan for US$152 million, maturing in 2033. The banks participating in the transaction are Credit Agricole CIB, Mizuho Bank, Ltd., BNP Paribas and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
The closing of the transaction allows Cleanairtech Sudamérica S.A., a company specialising in the water sector, to finance its desalination plant. This infrastructure, located 25 km north of Caldera, has been operating since 2014, supplying different clients in the Atacama region with an annual production of approximately 8 million m³.
