Veirano elects new managing partner

Veirano Advogados has elected Paula Surerus as new managing partner of the firm

Veirano Advogados begins the new year with partner Paula Surerus (pictured) assuming the position of managing partner for the 2022-2023 term, starting another phase of renewal of the Firm’s leadership, as provided for in its corporate governance.

Although she has been part of our Administrative Committee since 2020, in charge of the general coordination of legal practices, Paula is the first woman to hold the position of Managing Partner at Veirano, a remarkable milestone in our long and successful 50-year history. Paula’s election to the position reflects her high personal and professional qualities and skills, confirming her leadership capacity and recognition by her peers and the market.

With 20 years of successful experience in the legal industry, Paula focuses her practice on corporate law, M&A transactions, joint ventures, and infrastructure projects. Her background encompasses the leadership of numerous relevant projects and transactions in various industries, among other highlights. Having worked in the New York office of Hughes, Hubbard & Reed, Paula joined Veirano in 2013.

Paula Surerus succeeds partner Ricardo Veirano, who has led the firm for the past six years. Ricardo continues as a trusted advisor to specific clients, resuming his M&A and private equity practices in greater volume and intensity, and a leadership position in new business development.
