PPU advises GIC and Softbank on $80m investment by Addi
PPU Colombia has counselled GIC Private Limited and Softank on their investment in the financing round of the Fintech Addi
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has advised GIC Private Limited and Softbank on their $80 million investment in the Series C funding round of credit fintech Addi.
This transaction closed on 4 December 2021, with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati acting as US counsel to the Lenders/Investors; PPU as Colombian counsel to the Lenders/Investors; and Cuatrecasas as Colombian counsel to the Borrower/Issuer.
“It was a very interesting transaction as we had the chance to comprehensively grasp the business model and corporate needs of one of the most important fintechs in Colombia while simultaneously conducting diligence for the safety of our client’s investment. It is also rewarding to participate in an investment that will help fuel the operation of a company who will certainly contribute to the satisfaction of Colombia’s consumer needs and the economy’s reactivation”, the firm stated in a press release.
