Cariola appoints Bárbara Zlatar as partner

Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has added its new partner to strengthen its Labour, Social Security and Immigration teams

 Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has appointed Bárbara Zlatar as partner as of 1 January 2022.

Juan Pablo Matus, managing partner of the firm, declared: “We are happy that Barbara, after a very outstanding career at Cariola, joins our team of partners. Her contribution will be fundamental to continue the development and expansion of our practice.”

Bárbara joined Cariola in 2011 as part of the Labour, Social Security and Immigration group, which she has led in recent years alongside partner Ricardo Tisi. She also leads the Visa and Immigration team, advising international and local companies on the mobility of expatriates and their families to and from the country.

She focuses her practice on corporate labour and immigration matters, specialising in advising employers, both domestic and foreign, on matters related to the hiring and dismissal of workers, implementation of policies and procedures, structuring of benefits and stock options, outsourcing of services, preventive advice, among others. In addition, she has distinguished herself for her extensive experience and support in collective bargaining.

Her clients include companies operating in a wide range of industry sectors, such as financial services, retail, banking, technology, IT, agribusiness, among others.

She is a member of the Committee of Experts in Labour Law, of the Commission of Women Lawyers of the Chilean Bar Association Chilean Bar Association and is a member of the L&E Global network. In addition, within the firm she has been a coordinating collaborator and member of the Pro Bono Committee.
