White & Case announces four new appointments

White & Case Mexico has promoted 4 of its lawyers to the positions of executive partner, managing partner, counsel and local partner

 White & Case Mexico has announced the appointment of Francisco de Rosenzweig as executive partner, Carlos Mainero as managing partner, Marièle Coulet-Díaz as counsel in the International Arbitration Practice, and Fernando García Gómez as local partner in the Global Administrative Litigation Practice.

Effective 1 January, these appointments are part of the firm’s worldwide promotions of 68 lawyers in 29 offices and 12 global practices, 40 as counsel and 28 as local partners.

Francisco de Rosenzweig (pictured top left) has more than 25 years of experience, and will continue to serve as head of the firm’s Energy, Infrastructure, Project Finance and International Trade practice, replacing in his new role Ismael Reyes Retana, who will continue to serve as managing partner of the firm’s Administrative Litigation practice and head the Mexico office’s Pro Bono practice. Francisco focuses his practice on the development and financing of Infrastructure, Regulatory and Contractual Aspects, and International Trade projects. He holds a Law Degree and a J.D. from Universidad Panamericana.

Carlos Mainero (pictured top right), with more than 18 years of experience at White & Case, is a partner in the Capital Markets Practice, regularly advises on Capital Markets transactions, Financing and provides regulatory advice on Banking and Securities matters, as well as other general corporate transactions. He is a graduate from Universidad Panamericana School of Law and holds a postgraduate degree in Banking and Finance Law from Boston University.

Marièle Coulet-Díaz (pictured bottom left) is counsel in the International Arbitration Group. Her practice is focused on representing companies and states in commercial and investment arbitrations in the Construction, Infrastructure, Mining, Military Equipment Procurement and Mergers & Acquisitions sectors. She holds master’s degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and Assas University in Paris, and is admitted to the Paris and New York Bar.

Fernando García Gómez (pictured bottom right) is a local partner in the Global Administrative Litigation Practice, focusing mainly on Administrative Law and Constitutional Procedural Law, including among other areas, Consulting and Litigation in Public Procurement, Energy, Antitrust, Telecommunications and Regulatory Law. He also has experience in Anti-dumping proceedings, International Arbitration, Corporate and Financial Law. He holds a Law Degree from Universidad Panamericana.
