KLA and Souto Correa act in JV between Telefônica and Ânima

KLA Advogados advised Ânima Educação; Souto Correa Advogados advised Telefônica

KLA advised Ânima Educação and Souto Correa advised Telefônica in the negotiation of a joint venture focused on developing and offering short-term professional educational courses on a digital platform (web and/or mobile).

Ânima is one of the largest and best known private educational organizations in the country, with more than 320 thousand students in twelve Brazilian states and 18 thousand teachers and employees.

Telefônica is the leader in the Brazilian telecommunications market, connecting more than 357.5 million accesses to the Internet, mobile and fixed telephony, and a reference in 4G mobile broadband and ultra-high speed fixed broadband.

Through this vehicle, Telefônica and Ânima Educação planned to operate a digital education platform with online training courses, focused on lifelong learning and employability in areas such as Technology, Business Management, Business Administration and Tourism.

By combining Ânima Educação’s know-how in offering digital courses with Telefônica’s scale and distribution capacity, the joint venture will offer its students personalized development paths, with updated content that meets the current demands of the labor market, contributing to the development and improvement of its students’ living conditions.
