Arias promotes three lawyers in Guatemala
Arias Law has promoted Ivón Hernández to senior counsel, and Cindy Arrivillaga and Mónica Medrano to senior associates
Central American practice, Arias Law, has promoted three of its lawyers in Guatemala. Ivón Hernández joins as senior counsel, while Cindy Arrivillaga and Mónica Medrano are promoted to senior associates.

Ivón Hernández (pictured left) joined Arias in 2014 and has worked in the Intellectual Property practice. She holds an LLM in Intellectual Property from the University of Torino and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Among her most notable involvements is advising national and foreign companies engaged in various economic activities, protecting their brands and delivering the highest quality of service.
Cindy Arrivillaga (pictured centre) joined the firm in 2017 in the Tax team. She currently leads key operations in the Banking and Finance team. Cindy was awarded a full Arthur T. Vanderbilt scholarship, which allowed her to pursue a Master of Laws degree focused on international business transactions from NYU School of Law. She is admitted and sworn in by the New York State Bar Association.
Monica Medrano (pictured right) has been part of the Litigation team since 2019, and has since delivered a very high level of expertise in criminal and criminal procedural matters. Her involvement in major cases has been strategic for the firm’s clients.
