Cuatrecasas assists Luz del Sur in the acquisition of Sojitz Arcus
Cuatrecasas, through its team in Lima, has assisted Luz del Sur in the signing of the purchase and sale agreement for the acquisition of Sojitz Arcus Investment, owner of two solar power plants located in Arequipa, Peru.
The purchase agreement was signed on 29 March for a maximum acquisition amount of US$133 million in the first phase. The closing of the transaction is subject to several conditions precedent to closing, including Indecopi’s merger control clearance.
The signing of the sale and purchase agreement is the first step in the company’s first acquisition of renewable solar power generation plants, which includes the two photovoltaic plants Majes Arcus and Repartición Arcus, pioneers in solar power generation in Peru and created in 2012. Between them, the two plants have a production capacity of 40 megawatts.
