Viseu opens a new area with a new partner

Viseu Advogados announced the admission of Mareska Tiveron (pictured) – lawyer, writer and co-founder of Brasil Fintech project – as a partner of the firm.

A graduate from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Mareska has a post-graduate degree in Corporate Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV/SP).

The lawyer will be responsible for creating Viseu’s new practice area, banking and fintechs and increasing the range of services offered by the firm.

Mareska, during her 20-year career in business consulting, has specialized in the financial sector, having worked in renowned law firms, including abroad, and also as an entrepreneur and executive in fintechs and payment means companies. Her experience includes legal, regulatory and compliance advice to the entire ecosystem, financial institutions, digital banks, fintechs, payment companies, acquirers, card associations, investors and entrepreneurs.

With the new area, the firm intends to offer a complete and sophisticated legal solution for its clients and other companies in the financial sector, acting in alignment with the various areas of Viseu, especially corporate, tax, contractual, data protection and litigation.

With Mareska, Viseu now has 14 partners, each leading a practice area, and a total of 220 lawyers.
