GC assists Atlas in acquisition of Farathane
Gonzalez Calvillo has assisted Atlas Holdings in Mexico (Atlas) in the acquisition of automotive supplier U.S. Farathane, USF Holdings and its subsidiaries.
This transaction was closed on 12 June, also with the participation of Shearman & Sterling and Creel García Cuéllar Aiza y Enríquez, the latter on antitrust matters.
The advice involved conducting an exhaustive due diligence of the Mexican assets (including U.S. Farathane), as well as the drafting and negotiation of the acquisition contracts. Advice was also provided on antitrust regulatory aspects in order to obtain the relevant authorisations from the Federal Competition Commission (Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica).
