Simpson Thacher advises MRV on BRL 1 bi follow-on offering
Simpson Thacher represented MRV Engenharia e Participações in connection with a primary follow-on offering of 78,187,000 of its common shares.
The offering raised approximately R$1.0 billion in net proceeds to MRV. The Shares were offered to certain qualified institutional buyers under Rule 144A in the United States and to non-U.S. persons outside the United States in reliance upon Regulation S. MRV’s Shares are traded on the B3 stock exchange under the ticker symbol “MRVE3.”
MRV is the largest construction company in Latin America and a leader in the residential real estate sector, with more than 500,000 houses and apartments launched to date in 145 cities in all regions of Brazil. MRV’s construction projects target the middle-class, and allow thousands of Brazilians families to acquire their own homes, while also creating 6,000 jobs per year in the locations in which it operates.
