Sánchez DeVanny on debt securities issue by Naturgy

Sánchez DeVanny has advised Naturgy Mexico on its issuance of Mexican peso-denominated debt securities (certificados bursátiles), publicly offered in the Mexican stock market and issued on 25 March 2024, under its locally registered MXN $3,500 million programme maturing in March 2027.

The notes were placed through a local public offering on the Mexican Stock Exchange and registered in the National Securities Registry administered by the Mexican National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV). BBVA, Inbursa and Scotiabank participated as local underwriters in the transaction.

Naturgy will use the proceeds of the issue to repay existing debt.

Founded in 1990, Naturgy Mexico is a subsidiary of Naturgy Energy Group, a Spanish conglomerate with two main lines of business in Mexico, natural gas distribution and electricity generation.

Sánchez DeVanny’s team was led by partner José Berrueta (pictured) and assisted by associate Joaquín García Pimentel, both based in Mexico City.
