Maximiliano D’Auro

Beccar Varela appoints new managing partner

Beccar Varela has announced the appointment of Maximiliano N. D’Auro (pictured) as new managing partner of the firm, effective as of April.

This appointment is a consequence of the succession plan designed by the partners of the firm, foreseeing that Horacio E. Beccar Varela – managing partner for more than two decades – should leave the position in 2024 when he reached the maximum age established in the by-laws to exercise this function, having been elected by the assembly successively since he took office.

A year ago, the partners of the firm took the first step in the execution of the plan, electing Maximiliano N. D’Auro as the new managing partner, for a renewable term of three years, starting on 1 April 2024. The 12-month period between the election and the assumption of the new managing partner was provided to ensure a gradual and orderly transition.

Following Maximiliano’s appointment, Horacio continues as a partner and will take on the role of Managing Partner Emeritus, where he will continue to share his experience and contribute his strategic vision to the new leadership of the firm.

Maximiliano joined Beccar Varela in 2000, was appointed partner in 2008 and has been a member of the firm’s Management Committee since 2014. He also heads the Compliance & Investigations department.
