With a professional trajectory marked by excellence and extensive expertise in strategic areas of Law, Gustavo Taiar brings a wealth of knowledge acquired over years of experience in renowned firms and international ventures.

Gustavo has distinguished himself in his work in Corporate Law, M&A, Structured Finance, Private Equity, Investment Funds, Venture Capital, and Project Finance. His client portfolio includes private investors, foreigners, institutional investors, multinational corporations, and companies from various sectors, including electric and renewable energy, beverages, and fashion. His solid entrepreneurial and strategic vision has made a difference in complex operations for national and international clients.

Before joining Melcheds Advogados’ partnership, Gustavo gained experience in firms such as Machado Meyer Advogados, where he remained for almost a decade, and ASBZ Advogados, where he contributed for over seven years. Additionally, his tenure as a foreign associate at the law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, in New York, further enriched his global perspective and ability to serve clients internationally.
Gustavo holds an LL.M. from UC Berkeley, California, an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa, and a degree in Law from PUC-SP.
