Dias Carneiro announces the arrival of three new partners
Dias Carneiro Advogados has announced the arrival of three new partners: Fernando Gomes, Mário Saadi and Alexandre Leite.
They will join the firm’s financial operations and project finance, infrastructure, public law and energy practice groups. They all have extensive professional careers and have worked in renowned firms both in Brazil and abroad.
Lawyer Fernando Gomes works in the areas of Financial Operations and Project Finance, with a focus on and extensive experience in structured and project finance, debt issues in the capital markets, debt renegotiations, mergers and acquisitions and infrastructure operating contracts. He graduated from Faculdade Milton Campos and specialized in corporate law at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2006). He obtained his LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in 2008, having worked at the international law firm Clifford Chance in New York in 2008 and 2009.
Mário Saadi works in the area of Public and Administrative Law, with extensive experience in tenders, concessions, public contracts and regulatory matters in general. Mário graduated from FGV-SP, where he teaches postgraduate courses, and holds a PhD (USP) and a Master’s degree (PUC-SP) in Administrative Law. Throughout his career, he has published six books and more than 70 articles on topics related to State Law. Mário is also a regular Pro Bono lawyer.
Alexandre Leite has a recognized practice in the areas of electricity, commercialization (including retail and self-production), regulation, project development, infrastructure contracts and project financing. He graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP) and obtained his LLM from the University of Chicago Law School in 2016, having worked at Proskauer Rose LLP in New York in 2016 and 2017.
