PPU assists Carlyle in aircraft portfolio acquisition issue
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Chile has assisted Carlyle Aviation Partners in an Asset Based Securitization (ABS) of fifteen AASET 2024-1 Trust commercial aircraft.
AASET 2024-1 issued USD $428 million in secured bonds to be used to acquire a portfolio of twelve aircraft, ten narrow-body and two wide-body.
This transaction was concluded on 18 June and involved the Chilean and US jurisdictions. Goldman Sachs was the sole structuring agent, global coordinator and joint lead bookrunner and Phoenix American was the managing agent.
Ciana Casey and Rory Coughlan acted as in-house counsel to Carlyle.
