Tauil & Chequer Advogados announces a new partner

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown has announced the arrival of Alexandre Arlota (pictured) as a partner. He will join the team of professionals specializing in energy and infrastructure projects.

Arlota has more than 20 years’ experience, having worked for renowned law firms in Brazil and abroad and led various projects in the energy, oil and gas, shipbuilding and logistics sectors (airports, railways, ports, highways, urban mobility, steel, mining and sanitation).

Arlota has also built up a solid academic career. He was a professor at the Federal University of Rio de Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). He currently coordinates at the University of São Paulo (USP). He is also the author of recognized legal works, frequently cited by courts and regulators.
