Cuatrecasas welcomes Nicolás Arboleda as a new partner
Cuatrecasas has announced the appointment of Nicolás Arboleda Márquez (pictured) as a new partner for the Oil, Gas, Mining and Environment practice area, to strengthen the firm’s Bogotá office.
For more than 15 years, Nicolás Arboleda has participated in the structuring of projects and contracts in the mining and oil sector. He has also led and participated in the negotiation and closing of multiple operations with companies in the sector in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He also stands out in the sector for his academic career, as he is a professor of different chairs of the mining and oil industry and regularly participates in conferences and specialised publications.
Arboleda is a lawyer from the Universidad del Rosario, a specialist in Mining and Petroleum Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, a Master’s candidate in Administrative Law from the Universidad del Rosario, and is currently studying for an MBA in International Natural Resource Management at Dundee University (UK).
