Ritch Mueller represents underwriters in $8.5bn offering by Mexico
Ritch Mueller has represented the underwriters in connection with the offering by the United Mexican States (Mexico) of debt securities (Global Notes) for (i) USD$2bn at a rate of 6.000% due 2030, (ii) USD$4bn at a rate of 6.875% due 2037, and (iii) USD$2.5bn at a rate of 7.375% due 2055.
The transaction, closed on 13 January, had a total value of USD $8.5 billion and involved the jurisdictions of Mexico and the US (New York). Sullivan & Cromwell acted as advisor to the underwriters in the US, while Cleary Gottlieb advised Mexico.
BofA, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Scotia Capital and SMBC Nikko acted as underwriters.
