Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes (MACF) has acted as Mexican counsel for the Initial Purchasers in FIBRA UNO’s US$800 million sustainability-linked notes offering. The issuance, completed by Mexico’s first and largest real estate investment trust, was structured in two tranches: a US$500 million tranche of 7.700% notes due 2032 and a US$300 million tranche of 8.250% notes maturing in 2037.

The Initial purchasers group included Alterna, BBVA, BofA, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Santander, and Scotia. This cross-border transaction involved both the United States and Mexico, highlighting its international scope.

The deal, falling under the capital markets practice area with a focus on Structuring (CERPIS, CKDs, Fibras inmobiliarias y E), represents a significant move in the FIBRAs and Real Estate & Construction sectors.

The MACF team advising on the transaction was led by partners Martín Sánchez Bretón (pictured left) and Carlos Jiménez Cantú (pictured right), with support from associates José Pellón, Jimena Domínguez Bernal, and Leopoldo Bernal Rangel.

Other law firms involved in the transaction included Baker McKenzie, Holland & Knight, and Holland & Knight México.
