Davi Tangerino and Rafael Fonseca launch criminal boutique in RJ
The criminal boutique Davi Tangerino e Rafael Fonseca Advogados opens its doors this March in Rio de Janeiro. The firm brings together two renowned practitioners, who will continue to work independently in their own offices, located in São Paulo and Recife, respectively.
With the new office, which will initially have the two founding partners and two more lawyers, Davi Tangerino (pictured left) and Rafael Fonseca (pictured right)intend to join forces to work together, especially in Rio de Janeiro.
The focus on the capital of Rio de Janeiro came from the demand felt by the two professionals. A professor at universities in the state for more than 15 years – first at UFRJ and currently at UERJ, Davi’s experience in Rio de Janeiro has been very close to academia, which has been extended day by day to the legal market, especially with the training of his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students.
For his part, Rafael, who was Davi’s PhD student at UERJ, has been connected to the city for six years, alternating his time between Recife and Rio de Janeiro. In the medium term, the goal of the founding partners is for Davi Tangerino e Rafael Fonseca Advogados to be another firm of reference in quality criminal law practice – with a special focus on economic criminal law – in Rio de Janeiro, alongside the firms already established in the city.
