Two law firms act on CPFL debenture issues totaling BRL 4 bi

Cescon Barrieu advised the issuers and Lobo de Rizzo advised the underwriters on different CPFL Group debenture offerings, carried out simultaneously, totaling BRL 4,017,000,000.00.

The 16th issue of debentures by Companhia Paulista de Força e Luz had a total value of BRL 3,192,000,000.00.

The 6th issue of Companhia Jaguari de Energia had a total value of BRL 225 million.

The 14th issue of debentures by CPFL Transmissão had a total value of BRL 300 million.

The 19th issue of debentures by Companhia Piratininga de Força e Luz had a total value of BRL 300 million.

The issuers are subsidiaries of CPFL Energia, Brazil’s largest electricity distribution company, which also acted as guarantor. All the issues had automatic registration (under the terms of CVM Resolution 160).

Itaú BBA Assessoria Financeira; Banco Bradesco BBI; Banco Santander (Brasil) and Banco Votorantim acted as underwriters.

Cescon Barrieu advised all the issuers of the offers and relied on partners Daniel Laudisio, Mariana Rodrigues Machado Borges, associates Vittoria Simoni and Fernanda Putrino.
