Skadden, Cleary Gottlieb act on Coca-Cola FEMSA’s US$500 million senior notes

Skadden and Cleary Gottlieb represented Coca-Cola FEMSA’s $500 million aggregate principal amount of 5.10% senior notes due 2035, arranged by BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities and Morgan Stanley & Co. as joint bookrunners.

The proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include the funding of working capital and capital expenditures, and the repayment of indebtedness.

Skadden was representing the underwriters with a team that included capital markets partner Alejandro González Lazzeri (pictured), European counsel Alejandro Ascencio Lucio (London), associate Elvira Perez and law clerk Rodrigo Carmona; and Tax partner Nazmiye Gökçebay.

Coca-Cola FEMSA is the largest franchise bottler in the world by sales volume, and produces and distributes trademark beverages of The Coca-Cola Company in several jurisdictions throughout Latin America.
