BRZ announces new partners and strengthens its practices
BRZ Advogados announced the addition of Roberto Nasato Kaestner (pictured left) and Fabio Peçanha (pictured right) to its partnership, expanding the firm’s expertise and capabilities in labor law and tax law.
Roberto Kaestner joins to reinforce the Labor Law practice, bringing over 15 years of experience in complex disputes involving franchise relationships, senior executives, variable compensation, and joint liability, as well as negotiations with the Labor Prosecutor’s Office and investigations with significant institutional impact. Throughout his career, Roberto served as a senior lawyer at leading law firms Mattos Filho and Machado Meyer, advising companies across various industries such as technology, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, finance, private equity, food, mining, automotive, and fashion.
With a multidisciplinary perspective, Roberto also brings substantial expertise in matters requiring integration between Labor and Corporate Law, including restructuring and strategic transactions, as well as providing legal support to investment funds. He holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Insper, and an LL.M. in Business Law from FGV-Rio. His international academic background includes the Master’s Program in Law and Management offered jointly by Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics.
Fabio Peçanha, in turn, joins the firm’s Tax Law team, bringing over 20 years of experience in the field. His expertise spans tax litigation—both administrative and judicial—and strategic tax consulting, with a strong track record advising medium and large companies. Fabio has worked at top-tier law firms and across sectors such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, banking, insurance, services, technology, and infrastructure, always focusing on practical and effective solutions for business tax challenges.
With a technical and strategic approach, Fabio holds a solid academic background, including an MBA in Accounting and Controllership from Trevisan Business School, an LL.M. in Tax Law from Insper – Institute for Education and Research, and a Bachelor of Laws from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). His strong academic foundation complements his extensive practical experience, enabling him to offer innovative legal solutions that are precisely aligned with market needs. He also brings specialized knowledge in tax restructuring and planning, strengthening the team and contributing to the development of creative and effective strategies for BRZ’s clients.
Based in São Paulo, both partners will bring a technical and strategic perspective to their respective areas.
