Simpson Thacher counsels underwriters in offering of senior notes by América Móvil

Simpson Thacher has advised BBVA Securities, Goldman Sachs & Co., HSBC Securities (USA), Scotia Capital (USA), and other underwriters in the US$500 million public offering of 5.000% senior notes due 2033 by América Móvil. The telecom giant intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes.

América Móvil, which is organized in Mexico, is a leading telecommunications services provider in Latin America, ranking first in wireless, fixed-line, broadband, and Pay TV services based on the number of revenue-generating units (“RGUs”). América Móvil’s largest operations are in Mexico and Brazil.

The telecom company operates in 16 additional countries across the Americas and seven countries in Central and Eastern Europe. As of March 31, 2025, América Móvil served 323.9 million wireless subscribers and 78.2 million fixed revenue-generating units (RGUs).
