MQMGLD advises BTG Pactual backs COP $60B loan for retirees and teachers

Martínez Quintero Mendoza, González, Laguado & De La Rosa advised Banco BTG Pactual Colombia on a COP $60 billion financing facility granted to the Vantage – BTG Libranzas Trust, a vehicle established by Vantage The Finance Practice to support the origination of payroll-deductible loans aimed at retirees and public-school teachers in Colombia.

The transaction aims to strengthen access to affordable credit for traditionally underserved borrower segments through a structured and regulated lending platform.

Martínez Quintero Mendoza, González, Laguado & De La Rosa’s team was led by Juan Manuel De La Rosa, with support from Sebastián Celis (Director), Nicolás Jaramillo (Senior Associate), and associates Isabela Ramírez and Felipe Buitrago.

The deal reflects continued growth in Colombia’s alternative lending space and reinforces BTG Pactual’s strategic role in the financing of social-impact initiatives within the financial services sector.
