Bruchou & Salaverri advise on syndicated loan to Vista Energy Argentina

Bruchou & Funes de Rioja and Salaverri Burgio Wetzler Malbrán served as legal advisors in connection with a US$150 million syndicated loan granted to Vista Energy Argentina.

Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires acted as lender, while Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina), as lender and administrative agent, and together with Galicia, granted the syndicated loan to Vista Energy Argentina.

Vista Argentina, operating since April 2018, is a leading shale oil company dedicated to the exploration and production of oil and natural gas in Argentina. It is the country’s largest independent oil producer and the top operator in Vaca Muerta, the most significant shale oil and gas formation under development outside North America.

Vista Argentina operates as a subsidiary of Vista Energy, a publicly traded Mexican corporation listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange, with ADSs listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Bruchou & Funes de Rioja acted as legal counsel to Vista through its team led by partner José María Bazán (pictured), together with associates Ramón Augusto Poliche, Branko Serventich and Sofia Maselli.

Salaverri Burgio Wetzler Malbrán acted as legal counsel to the banks through its team led by partners Roberto Lizondo and Josefina Ryberg, together with associates Rodrigo Durán Libaak and Valentina Buschiazzo Ripa.
