Pérez Alati & Bruchou advise on Industrial Commercial Bank of China’s loan to Genneia

Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen advised Genneia, Argentina’s leading renewable energy developer and generator, on a loan facility from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) in the aggregate amount of CNY 358,766,000 (three hundred fifty-eight million seven hundred sixty-six thousand yuan renminbi) (equivalent to approximately USD 50 million).

Bruchou & Funes de Rioja advised Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC, in Argentina), acting as lender. This is an important transaction, closed on August 7, 2025, as it represents one of the first yuan-denominated financings granted locally.

The proceeds from the loan will be utilized by Genneia to support general activities related to the development of renewable energy projects. This includes capital investments, project development costs, as well as operation and maintenance expenses.

Genneia’s legal advisors were the in-house legal team, Eduardo Segura, and Matías Fraga.
