Manesco Advogados expands its banking team
Manesco Advogados has expanded its team of partners with the following professionals have joined the banking team: Claudia Polto da Cunha, Daniel Esteves, Daniele Feitosa de Albuquerque Lima, Paulo Henrique Rodrigues Pereira, Flávia Chiquito dos Santos, who was already part of the firm and has been promoted. With 50% of professionals in senior leadership positions being women, the hiring of female lawyers has further expanded the female presence at the firm. In addition to the new partners, Amílcar Bastos Falcão joins the team as a strategic advisor. The lawyer has extensive experience working with important companies and organisations such as Queiroz Galvão and Fiesp.
For over 30 years, Manesco Advogados has been a benchmark in public law and operates in various regulated sectors of the economy. In June of this year, it launched its new brand and inaugurated a cycle in tune with the changes that have been taking place in Brazilian infrastructure. Among the firm’s founders are Marcos Perez and Floriano de Azevedo Marques Neto, full professors at the USP Law School, who was recently reappointed to the position of minister of the Superior Electoral Court.
Below are the profiles of the professionals:
Claudia Polto da Cunha: Retired prosecutor for the State of São Paulo, she was responsible for coordinating state-owned companies in São Paulo, working especially on concessions, PPPs, infrastructure projects, securitisation, and structured operations. She held the position between 1991 and July 2025. She was also Deputy State Attorney General from January 2020 to April 2022. She holds a Master’s degree from the USP Law School, a specialisation in Economic Law from FGV/SP and a degree from the USP Law School.
Daniele Feitosa de Albuquerque Lima: Graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Fortaleza – UNIFOR, she was a structural calculator, project manager and execution of public works and building maintenance services. She is a Master’s student in Law at the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research – IDP, where she also graduated in Legal Sciences. As a federal civil servant, she gained extensive experience in drafting terms of reference, tenders and contract execution. She also served as an advisor to a judge in civil and criminal cases. In private practice, she focused on strategic civil litigation in higher courts.
Flávia Chiquito dos Santos: She has 20 years of experience in Competition and Antitrust Law, representing national and international clients in the review of commercial practices, investigations of anti-competitive practices – including cartels – and in the approval of mergers before CADE. She holds a master’s degree from the University of São Paulo Law School and a law degree from PUC-SP.
Daniel Esteves: He has 27 years of litigation and advisory experience, including with regulatory agencies and control bodies. He acts in highly complex arbitration and judicial disputes and anti-corruption agreements. He was general counsel for infrastructure groups for 20 years at Skanska and Andrade Gutierrez, and led an O&M business unit with revenues of US$ 50 million and 1,500 employees. He holds a doctorate from the USP Law School, a master’s degree from PUC-SP, an MBA in Strategic Business Management from FGV/SP, and a law degree from UFMG. He was a postgraduate professor at FGV/SP.
Paulo Henrique Rodrigues Pereira: He is a specialist in Public and Tax Law and a professor in the Department of State at the USP Law School. He holds a doctorate and master’s degree from the same institution and is a researcher at the Afro-Latin American Research Institute (Harvard). He is currently a special advisor to the Ministry of Justice and is licensed by Manesco Advogados.
