Larrain y Asociados advises Banco Consorcio on US$137 million international loan

Chilean Larrain y Asociados acted as Chilean legal counsel to Banco Consorcio in the structuring, documentation, and closing of an international syndicated financing governed by New York law, for a total amount of US$137,000,000.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, New York Branch served as administrative agent for the financing. The syndicate of international lenders included Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, New York Branch, Citibank, HSBC Bank (Chile), Bradesco Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of Baroda, New York Branch, Fubon Bank (Hong Kong), and KEB Hana Bank. The transaction closed on September 23, 2025.

The legal team for Larrain y Asociados (Chilean counsel to the borrower) was led by partner Diego Garay (pictured) and associate Pablo Figueroa.

Garrigues Chile (Chilean counsel to the lenders) was led by partner Pedro García and associates Edgardo Conde, Dominga Brito, and Ignacio Vargas.

Partner Stephen Double, along with associate Jorge Ballen, led Holland & Knight’s team (New York counsel to the lenders). Alan Sakar was the counsel for Clifford Chance (New York counsel to the borrower). Nabih Chalhub was the in-house counsel for Banco Consorcio.
