IW Melcheds and Mattos Filho advise on Coremas solar deal

IW Melcheds Advogados represented CEEC Brazil on the acquisition of the Coremas I, II and III photovoltaic power plants, located in the municipality of Coremas, in the state of Paraíba. The transaction was executed through the purchase of equity held by FIP Coremas, controlled by Nordic Power Partners, a joint venture between European Energy and Impact Fund Denmark. Mattos Filho advised the sellers.

With an installed capacity of 93.41 MWp and operating under a Reserve Energy Auction (LER) power purchase agreement, the Coremas solar complex constitutes CEEC Brazil’s entry into the Brazilian renewable energy generation sector. The investment lays the foundation for the company’s long-term strategy to expand its presence in diversified clean energy solutions, including new renewable projects, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and green hydrogen initiatives.

CEEC Brazil intends to operate the Coremas plants on a long-term basis, with planned investments aimed at maintaining and enhancing operational performance, while also promoting socio-economic development initiatives in partnership with local communities.
