José Rivero joins the corporate department at Gumucio
Gumucio Litigation Corporate has announced the addition of Harold José Rivero de la Jara (pictured) to its corporate practice, bringing on board a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate, insurance, and financial matters.
Rivero, who joins the firm as a senior associate, holds a degree in Legal and Social Sciences with a specialization in Corporate and Banking Law. He brings six years of experience as a corporate attorney. A graduate of the Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra (UPSA), he earned top honors for his thesis. Since 2016, he has built a solid career at an international law firm, gaining recognition for his rigorous training and distinguished performance.
In corporate matters, Rivero has experience in forming commercial companies, implementing and monitoring good corporate governance practices, and handling a wide range of corporate affairs. He has also led multiple due diligence processes for complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers, restructurings, investments, dissolutions, and liquidations.
Rivero also brings strong expertise in financial regulation. He has prepared reports, opinions, and regulatory analyses related to the financial sector and securities regulations to support the structuring and placement of financial products and services.
In the insurance and reinsurance sector, he frequently advises foreign reinsurers on registration processes and on interactions with the Pensions and Insurance Authority (APS).
Rivero recently became an active member of AmCham Junior, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bolivia, reflecting his commitment to expanding professional networks and contributing to the country’s business environment.
