ART. 1

Promoter, purpose and period of validity: is an initiative promoted by Iberian Legal Group, publisher of Latin American Lawyer, with the purpose, among other things, of stimulating competitiveness in the legal-business world. In 2025, the fourth “Latin American Energy & Infrastructure Awards” (hereinafter, “Initiative”) are held with the objective of recognizing the excellence of the main players of the energy and infrastructure sector, for their outstanding merits in the period between 1st January 2024 until 31 December 2024 (hereinafter, “Validity Period”).
The Initiative is governed by the following rules:

ART. 2

– Rules for participation and selection: participation in the Initiative is reserved to lawyers from firms with experience in the specific sector, highlighting the financial, tax, competition or criminal economic among others who work in the Latin American region, during the period of validity (hereinafter the “candidates”).
– Identification and classification of candidates:
Candidates will be preliminarily identified through submission forms and the results of research conducted by The Latin American Lawyer during the period of validity, to finally elaborate a list of finalists including them in one or more categories.

PHASES TO SELECT THE FINALISTS

First phase: All submissions received will be examined by thelatinamericanlawyer.com research team.
The submission form should focus mainly on the main matters carried out during 2024. If any information on the submission is confidential, please indicate so. However, any information provided will not be disclosed without the prior authorization of the firm or lawyer, or in-house team or in-house lawyer.
During the market research, both data provided by the law firms, lawyers, in-house team and in-house lawyer in the submissions and the information gathered by the market as a result of the intelligence process will be taken into consideration.

Second phase: Jury voting / Winner selection
The winners per category will be selected by the Jury and announced on the Gala night.
Thelatinamericanlawyer.com will convene a jury that will be comprised of a selected group of people from the thelatinamericanlawyer.com newsroom with a good understanding of the sector as a representation of the market.

The winners will be determined by the votes of the jury.

ART. 3 – Communication of the finalists and winners: the list of finalists for each of categories will be published on thelatinamericanlawyer.com website. However, the winners will be announced during the gala that will take place in the city of Sao Paulo on 10th of September 2026 (the location of the event will be indicated on our website).

ART. 4 – Award ceremony: Winners will be announced for each of the categories during the Gala ceremony. The award will not have a financial value, since it is a public recognition of purely symbolic nature. The award will be given to the best finalist by category, who will have to personally attend the Gala and collect it.

For the purpose of collecting the prize, the presence of the winner for the individual categories and/or at least one management representative of the winning team will be mandatory.
Should this not be possible, at the discretion of Iberian Legal Group and the panel of experts who selected the winners, the recognition may either be awarded to the second most voted candidate or not be announced during the awards ceremony, but only published on the website.

Thelatinamericanlawyer.com authorizes the finalists and winners to use the image rights linked to the “The Latinamerican Lawyer Energy & infrastructure Awards – 2026 edition”.
