Themudo Lessa advises Rumo on BNDES financing
Themudo Lessa Advogados advised Rumo, Brazil’s largest railway operator, on a BRL 350 million financing transaction, with a 15-year tenor, entered into by its subsidiary Rumo Terminais, with the Brazilian Development Bank (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social – BNDES).The transaction was guaranteed by a corporate guarantee granted by Rumo.
The financing is intended to support the acquisition of innovative hybrid locomotives and was provided by BNDES under the Fundo Clima Program.
