Felsberg advises PLP on JAP Telecom acquisition
Felsberg advised PLP – Produtos para Linhas Preformados, the Brazilian subsidiary of Preformed Line Products Company — a U.S. multinational with operations in more than 20 countries, on the acquisition of JAP Telecom. The transaction’s financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2002, JAP Telecom specializes in the development, manufacturing, and supply of connectivity solutions for telecommunications infrastructure across South America, serving some of the region’s largest telecom operators and internet service providers. The company posted annual revenue of approximately R$ 26 million in 2024.
The acquisition supports PLP’s expansion strategy in the communications segment, broadening its product portfolio and strengthening its capacity to meet infrastructure demands from clients in South America and other global markets.
