Madrona, Demarest and others advises on Catupiry-Lactojara deal
Madrona Advogados advised Laticínios Catupiry on the acquisition of 100% of the equity interest held by Leprino Foods Brasil Participações in Lactojara Industria e Comércio de Laticínios, which operates Leprino’s industrial business in Brazil. Demarest advised the sellers. The transaction, was signed under the internal codename “Projeto Acqua Roca” and remains subject to customary closing conditions.
The deal reinforces Catupiry’s strategy of expanding its portfolio, which currently spans more than 130 products. The transaction has a cross-border dimension involving the United States.
Madrona Advogados fielded two teams for the transaction. The Corporate and M&A team was led by partners Luciana Felisbino (pictured left) and Ricardo Madrona, supported by associates Henrique Maluta, Fernando Sant’Anna and Gabriel Felipe Vieira. The Antitrust team was led by partner Luis Nagalli, alongside Rodrigo Vianna and Regina Martins Vieira.
