Bruchou, Martínez de Hoz & Rueda advise SBU loan

Martínez de Hoz & Rueda has represented San Benito Upstream (“SBU”), a company engaged in oil production in Argentina, while Bruchou & Funes de Rioja advised Bladex, Inc.—New York Agency, in connection with the extension of a cross-border credit facility of up to US$150 million.

The proceeds of the credit facility is planned to be used by SBU to pay the remaining purchase price related to the acquisition of certain hydrocarbon assets in Argentina. The transaction closed on June 26, 2026.

SBU’s in-house legal team, composed of Gustavo Hours and Eduardo Arzeno, worked alongside Martínez de Hoz & Rueda, whose team was led by partners José Martínez de Hoz (grandson) (pictured), Pablo Schreiber, and Juan Cruz Azzarri.

Bladex Inc.—New York Agency, SBU will use the proceeds of the credit facility was advised by Bruchou & Funes de Rioja through partner Leandro Belusci and associate Cecilia Calosso.
