PCLA: New legal alliance for Latin American private clients
The network brings together well-known regional tax firms in an alliance aimed at strengthening legal and tax advisory services for private clients and wealth structures with international reach. The launch took place in São Paulo as part of the 18th Annual IBA/ABA Tax Trends Conference on the United States and Latin America.
Law firms McEwan (Argentina), Humberto Sanches e Associados (Brazil), Fuensalida & Del Valle (Chile), and Turanzas, Bravo & Ambrosi (Mexico) formed the PCLA – Private Client Latam Advisors network, a strategic alliance created to provide specialized legal and tax advisory services to private clients, business families, and wealth structures with regional and international presence.
PCLA emerges in response to the growing dynamism of cross-border investments and the need for efficient, sophisticated, and reliable regional coordination for multi-jurisdictional structures and businesses.
The network strategically connects high-net-worth individuals and families (HNWIs), family offices, fiduciary administrators, financial institutions, investment banks, companies, and their advisors, delivering comprehensive solutions combining local knowledge with a regional outlook.
The alliance was led by attorneys Herbie Robinson, Humberto Sanches, Jaime del Valle, and Pedro Ramírez Mota Velasco, respectively, from the four founding firms (pictured). These firms have been consistently recognized as leaders in their jurisdictions by the Chambers & Partners rankings in the Tax and Private Wealth categories, and are highly regarded boutique firms both locally and internationally.
The alliance initially covers Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, with plans to expand into other jurisdictions in the region in the short term; the founding firms are already in talks with specialized, highly reputed firms in the most relevant Latin American jurisdictions. The alliance launched on June 10 at the 18th Annual IBA/ABA Tax Trends Conference on the United States and Latin America, held in São Paulo, Brazil.
Through this initiative, PCLA aims to establish itself as a leading regional platform for private clients and international advisors seeking specialized support in Latin America, while preserving each firm’s distinctive identity and fostering close, agile, and highly sophisticated collaboration.
