Azevedo Sette names new partner in Belo Horizonte
Azevedo Sette Advogados has announced the arrival of Simone Bento Martins Cirilo as a new partner in the firm’s Belo Horizonte office. Cirilo brings more than 20 years of experience handling complex judicial and administrative tax disputes and will take charge of the firm’s Tax Litigation team.
Cirilo has a track record before administrative tribunals and higher courts, with experience representing multinational companies across various sectors in tax, social security and customs disputes. She joins the firm’s existing tax structure in Minas Gerais, working alongside tax advisory and estate planning partners Leandra Guimarães, Bruno Felippe Almeida and Frederico da Fonseca Silva.
Cirilo holds a master’s degree in Public Law from PUC Minas (2020) and a postgraduate qualification in Tax Law from IBET (2010), and studied law at UFMG. Before joining Azevedo Sette, she worked as a partner and head of the tax practice at other business law firms. She has also lectured at legal events, authored several publications in the tax field, and taught on the Tax Law LL.M. programme at PUC Minas.
