TozziniFreire hires partner Cinthia de Lamare
TozziniFreire announced the arrival of Cinthia de Lamare as a new partner in its Restructuring & Insolvency and Dispute Resolution practices. Based in the firm’s Rio de Janeiro office, de Lamare will operate nationwide, advising clients on debt restructurings and credit recovery, with a track record in cross-border matters and restructurings that have shaped Brazil’s insolvency framework.
Working alongside TozziniFreire’s M&A and Capital Markets teams, the Restructuring & Insolvency practice provides advisory services to companies, financial institutions, asset managers, investment funds, creditors, investors and shareholders. According to Fernando Serec, chief executive officer of TozziniFreire, the firm has observed a growing demand for advisory services in restructuring and strategic disputes.
Cinthia de Lamare advises clients on judicial and out-of-court restructurings, debt recovery, financing and the acquisition of distressed assets. Her practice also covers complex financial transactions, from the structuring and fundraising stages through to the negotiation of debt instruments and collateral packages. In Dispute Resolution, she handles corporate litigation across sectors including energy, mining, telecommunications, infrastructure and oil and gas, including offshore operations.
Cinthia holds a law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and a specialization in Corporate Law and Capital Markets from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
