ACR counsels Manuchar’s stake acquisition in Proquiel Químicos

ACR Legal has counselled Manuchar, a global chemical distributor based in Antwerp (Belgium), on the acquisition of a majority stake in Proquiel Químicos.

This acquisition fits in with Manuchar’s ambition to strengthen its leading chemical distribution platform and broaden its product portfolio. The integration will take place once approved by the antitrust authorities.

Manuchar handles more than 4 million metric tons of goods, generating some USD 2.4 billion in sales with local operations in more than 40 countries and 160 locations. With the acquisition of Proquiel, it fulfills its growth strategy in Latin America in areas such as human nutrition, animal nutrition and mining related to renewable energies.

Canales Molina Abogados also advised on the transaction through lawyers Cristián Canales and Hugo Vilches.
