Alcogal counsels Promerica on deal with Grupo Assa

Alemán Cordero Galindo & Lee has counselled Grupo Promerica in a transaction with Grupo Assa, with the objective of bringing together, under a holding company, the Nicaraguan entities Banco de la Producción (BANPRO) and Banco de Finanzas (BDF), which will continue to operate under their respective brands and banking licences.

This operation was structured through a series of multi-level corporate phases.

Grupo Promerica and Grupo Assa are two of the leading financial groups in Central America, both headquartered in Panama.
