Allende Bascuñán names Marcela Silva as partner
Allende Bascuñán & Cía has announced the appointment of Marcela Silva (pictured) as a new partner of the firm.
Marcela has 20 years of experience advising individuals and companies on national and international tax matters. She has specialised in cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, asset protection and representation in contentious matters with the tax authority, both at the administrative and judicial level.
She is currently the Executive Secretary of the AmCham Chile Tax Bureau, and she also has extensive experience as a lecturer in various postgraduate programmes at prestigious Chilean Universities – she is currently lecturer of the “Tax Conventions” chair of the Master’s Degree at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
Marcela has a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a Master’s degree in International Taxation from the University of Florida in the United States and a Master’s degree in Tax Management from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
Prior to joining the firm, Marcela was head of the International Taxation Department of the Chilean Internal Revenue Service, as well as Chile’s delegate to the OECD, and worked in firms such as Grupo Vial Abogados, Deloitte, PwC and Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos.
