Andrade Maia Advogados incorporates TDV Advogados
Andrade Maia Advogados announced the incorporation of the São Paulo boutique firm TDV Advogados, which specializes in transactional law, including legal as a service, M&A, private equity and venture capital.
The merger marks an important step in expanding AM’s practice portfolio, significantly strengthening its Corporate Law and Contracts area, especially in strategic segments such as technology and innovation. The formalization of the merger is scheduled for January 1, 2025, but joint operations are already underway.
With the merger, TDV’s team will become part of Andrade Maia’s structure, under the leadership of Júlio Cesar Goulart Lanes, the founding partner who heads the national civil area. The operation will strengthen Andrade Maia’s national and international presence, as well as enhancing the range of legal services offered to clients of both firms.
About the new AM partners
Bruno Tanus: With a career spanning more than 20 years, he has extensive experience in M&A, venture capital, private equity, corporate law and contracts. He is a professor and lecturer in Brazil and abroad. He teaches venture capital on Insper’s Startup Law course and M&A on the Investment Banking course at Saint Paul Business School. He has a doctorate in Comparative and European Legal Studies from the University of Trento in Italy and a doctorate in Law from the University of Salamanca in Spain.
He is a specialist in biotechnology rights and business from the University of GieBen in Germany. He
is the author of the book Regulación de la Biotecnologia y Derecho Sancionador and several academic
articles. He deals with topics related to corporate law and innovative businesses.
Felipe Afonso Ferreira Ribeiro do Val: He has extensive experience in M&A, venture capital, private
equity, corporate law, contracts, real estate law and agribusiness. He has held leading positions in
corporate law, including legal director and director of new business and strategy at a multi-sector
holding company, where he contributed directly to its operations. He has a post-graduate degree in
Finance from Insper, with a consolidated career in the legal and corporate market, focused on business
strategies and innovative solutions.
