Applus Chile instructs Carey, Clifford Chance on €600m financing
Carey in Chile and Clifford Chance in Spain acted for Applus Chile on the granting of new guarantees in relation to a new €600 million financing.
The deal also included a bond issuance for €230 million and the release of guarantees of a previous financing.
Applus Chile is the local subsidiary of Applus, the Spanish multinational which focuses on the testing, inspection and certification sector. Applus has operations in 70 countries around the world.
Caixabank, Crédit Agricole, Barclays, Santander, BNP Paribas, Citigroup Global Markets, Mizuho and MUFG Bank acted as creditors
Partner Diego Peralta led the team at Carey which advised Applus on local law.
Clifford Chance in Madrid acted as Spanish counsel, with partners Antonio Henríquez, Rodrigo Uría and Stuart Percival fronting the team
Morales y Besa provided counsel under Chilean law to the creditors, with partner Matías Langevin on a lead role.
The creditors, relied on Linklaters for international counsel.
